The humidifier in our bedroom creates condensation on the windows which drips and ruins the windowsill paint.?

We need to run a portable humidifier in our bedroom each night (it is so unbearably dry) and the condensation created on the windows drips to the windowsill and ruins the paint. Does anyone know any solutions to this? The humidifier in our bedroom creates condensation on the windows which drips and ruins the windowsill paint.?
1) Use an insulating sheet of plastic. Hardware stores sell kits. You cover the window, then use a hairdryer to shrink the plastic to remove wrinkles.

2) Cover the sills with Saran wrap, aluminum foil, etc.

3) Spray the sills with furniture polish. Even the kind you buy at 99垄 Stores lasts months. The humidifier in our bedroom creates condensation on the windows which drips and ruins the windowsill paint.?
you need insulated windows to cut down on the temerature variation from indoors to outside as this is the cause of condensation. as a quick cheap fix you could try putting plastic over the widow on the inside leaving an air gap of a few inches between the window and the plastic. good luck.
I think you put too much moisture in the air in a short period of time.I live in Alaska where it is very dry in the winter months.I run 2 humidifiers most of the winter.
