How do i pour paint from the can into the tray without drips on the side of the can?

Use a cooking baster to suck it out of the can, and squirt it into the pan.How do i pour paint from the can into the tray without drips on the side of the can?
You can get a spout to fit your can or

take two pieces of painters tape. Tape one piece along the edge of the can opening, so when you are looking at the top of the can you have a ';D'; shaped opening. Then tape the other from the top corner of the ';D'; along the side of the can, making a ';V'; shaped opening. This spout will greatly reduce the spillage and dripping down the side of the can.How do i pour paint from the can into the tray without drips on the side of the can?
As a 37 year experienced painter.. we never worried much about this..I have seen the plastic sopouts they sell ..and I'm sure they work well...Just another item to clean up lol...We always when we poured paint was first of all..pour it from the back side of the can and not the label side, in case a person runs out..or even when you store the left overs..the front label isn't covered with paint and you have ';wonder paint'; a few months later when your looking for touch up paints...Second..we always have our brush we are fixing to use in this paint handy sitting in our ';work pot'; and we simply pour the paint from the back side and wipe off what little has dripped onto the can and in the lid groove ..and done...Of course we very rarely roll out of a rolling pan..we prefer a 5 gallon bucket with a roller screen in it...
in the benining u need to have the can near the tray and pour slowly and then when u got a hand of it pour faster until u need to stop
3 ways

1) Buy a plastic spout

2) Twist the can

3) Use masking tape down the side and make a masking tape spout

tcw
as you stop pouring it in... twirl the can around as you bring it back up so the extra paint stays in the can and doesnt drip on the outside...
you can buy a snap-on tool that puts a pouring spout on the can, look at Lowe's
Just wipe with a paper towel, deary me!
tis a mystery
