I just painted my sons room and it turned out awful. The paint Left drip marks and little bubbles and a bumpy?

finish. Could this be the roller i used? I used a good primer first and really tried to do it right this time, but didn't turn out good at all. I used a satin paint also. Can anyone give me some help on this so it will not happen next time or how I should paint over it now.I just painted my sons room and it turned out awful. If the bad finish is only in certain areas then sand the areas using a fine grit sandpaper. Reapply the primer in these areas and then repaint them. The drip marks are caused from having too much paint on your brush or roller. Instead of trying to cover the walls with one thick coat of paint, roll on two thin coats of paint letting the first coat dry overnight before putting the second coat on. The bubbles may have been caused by using a deep pile roller cover. Make sure that you read the label on the roller covers and buy the roller cover that is meant for smooth surfaces. The bumpy finish is left again from having too much paint on the roller. Excess paint that was on the edges of the roller left tracks and dried into small ridges.I just painted my sons room and it turned out awful. The paint Left drip marks and little bubbles and a bumpy?
If there are little bumps then you needed to scrap the surface first.. or if there was wallpaper under the paint you need to remove it.. Primer wont do you anything if the sruface you were painting was not prepared right. Get a can of spakle and skim the entire surface and then sand it off.. use the primer and then the paint.. dont put too much on the roller. and the thicker the roller the more paint it is going to hold..
Get Barney to do it.
the roller will leave a texture in the paint this is normal as for bubbles you have to watch for those and work them out .......to solve all of these problems you should backbrush the wall as you paint it ...have one person roll and another follow behind pulling a 4 inch brush from top to bottom ...good luck from TEXAS
you had too much paint on the roller
Right, Sound's silly, My mum decorated my room not long ago and she used a roller and it has 1 bump and it's really little, Try getting some sandpaper and rubbing it on the bump till it is flat, Then re paint over it :).

Hope that help's you :).
bubbles are usually caused by dirty walls. if the wall has not been thouroughly cleaned, the paint will not stick in places. give the wall a wash down before you paint it again, although now that you have already finished it, you may need to sand down the bubbles and throw a few more coats on. i would also recommend making sure that the paint is mixed thoroughly. If it is not mixed enough it will be thinner and run much easier.
there could be a couple of things causing you this problem one is too much paint on the roller, the second way to get rid of these bubbles is to back roll the wall once you have spread out the paint, you would go over it again with the roller from the same starting position without dipping the roller back in the tray.
it costs twice as much to paint your house than it does to hire someone who knows what they are doing! I will never paint anything again but I just had a guy and his wife do my livingroom and they even stucco the ceiling and it looks great, $300 and a case of beer and they bought the supplies.
