I was helping a friend of mine paint her hallway. I had forgotten my painting jeans and had to paint with my regular jeans on. Now I've got some paint stains on them. The interior pain that we used was water base. Does anyone have a good tip on getting the spots of paint of my jeans??How do you get rid of paint that dripped into your jeans?
If it doesn't come out based on other people's suggestions, you now, unfortunately, have another pair of ';paint'; pants. Good luck but I've never been able to get paint out of fabric. How do you get rid of paint that dripped into your jeans?
aerosol hair spray. spray it directly on the spots. saturate the spots. let it sit for an hour, then wash them by themselves. it should work
Paint never comes out. Look at painter's pants.
paint is like impossible to get off when dry. try liquid detergent and a toothbrush. I don't hold out much hope though.
turpentine rub on till stain comes out then wash your jeans right away
well good luck in trying to get paint out of jeans. impossible. l did that once and l had a hard time getting the paint out. so l ended up throwing the jeans out
shout or oxi-clean.
If the paint is dryed into them I don't know.
If the paint is still tacky then the BEST thing is Goo Gone. You can get it at Wal-Mart or automotive stores.
Goo Gone safely removes:
gum, tar, crayon, fresh paint, tree sap, oil and grease, blood, ink, asphalt, scuff marks, tape and tape residue, makeup, lipstick and mascara, adhesives, candle wax, kitchen grease, shoe polish, soap scum, bumper stickers, duct tape, bicycle chain grease

Where can I find a kids wall paper border that looks like dripping paint?
My son wants to redo his room and wants a border that looks like green dripping paint or green slime like in Nickelodeon. Anyone seen anything like this? I have been on the computer all evening without any luck.
Thanks for helping,
GinaWhere can I find a kids wall paper border that looks like dripping paint?
In my area some of the more popular paint stores (Sherwin Williams, Porter Paints, MAB, etc.) carry wallpaper also. Most of these places have dozens of books with just kids styles and patterns. Most of the papers you find in these books will have to be ordered, but sometimes they don't take that long. You could also check a local hobby or craft spply store, they might have a stencil you could buy and then, to go along with one of the other answers, you can do the project together with your son. Good luck.Where can I find a kids wall paper border that looks like dripping paint?
A rather strange idea. Instead of getting a wallpaper border, why not just find the right color paint, and let it drip. He could even help you do this. If he thinks it turned out ';yucky';, you could just repaint. If he likes it, so be it. He's happy, your a ';cool'; mother, and he will soon grow out of it. You get 5 stars from me for being a mother that would even allow it.c++

Why did the paint drip when I tried spray painting my car?
I sanded the old paint with 320 grit sand paper then washed off the surface. Then when I started spraying on the new paint it seemed like the paint wasn't sticking very well at all, it just started running down the side of the car. I waited for that paint to dry, sanded it and tried again and it did the same thing. I wasn't holding the can too close and I don't think I was going too slow. I think there may have been something wrong with the paint. I never painted a car before. Why did the paint drip when I tried spray painting my car?
you were spraying it to heavy on you have to spray it lightly and then repeat after each coat drys if you spray it to close or to thick the first coat it will run you can't hold the sprayer to close nor spray the area to heavy both will cause this. and you don't spray constantly it's more like hit n stop like spray a line let off come back to the line beginning hit spray then stop and keep repeating don't go back and forth and keep spraying itWhy did the paint drip when I tried spray painting my car?
Did you use primer before you sprayed?
If you did you held the spray can to close to the work surface.
This causes the paint to run. Maby you went to fast when spraying this causes runs also. IN spray painting you have to
keep an even distance from your work %26amp; don't spray in a sweeping montion you spray from side to side in one stedy
motion.
Did you use primer? Most paints won't stick to cars very well without primer.
If you did and it still drips then you are putting it on too thick and gravity is taking over. You will need to make 4-5 light passes to get it to turn out ok.
Let the paint fully dry between passes. Remember in car painting the longer you take the better it looks and the longer it lasts. A quick and dirty job will LOOK quick and dirty.
you probably got to close to it or the spray was to thick you have to apply it in thin coats not heavy coats,it will literally drip off in the floor when its sprayed on too thick ,even temperature can affect the way it sprays, good luck.
you did not use tape probably .you need to put the tape on the edge, plus don't hold the can so close.
if the weather wasnt right, it will run, especially if its humid or its raining.
You were putting it on too thick. It isn't a good idea to try to paint a car with spray cans.
Your probably to close
u shouldnt be washing the surface down.. you should be wiping the residue off with acetone
too much too quick
you don't use spray paint on a car!!

Will clear polyurethane remove, drip or blur fluorescent paint?
I'm building a wooden dance floor would like to protect guest from splinters...Will clear polyurethane remove, drip or blur fluorescent paint?
If you are painting the entire floor and just want to protect that paint from wearing off you can use an epoxy floor paint. It will save time and money.
But, to answer the actual question I would put a few coats of the paint on so it is a solid thick coat preferably using eggshell or satin finish. The you'll need to scuff sand the paint to rough it up and degloss the paint a little. You need to do this in between every coat for better bonding. Once the floor has been scuffed, swept, vacuumed and tacked cloth put on a product called SealCoat made by Zinnsser. This is a bonding coat and will stick to the paint very well. It is clear and will not harm the paint. Within three hours of applying the SealCoat (it dries in about 15 minutes) go ahead and put a coat of oil based polyurethane over the top of it. This will need to sit overnight to dry. Once again you'll need to scuff sand, sweep, vacuum and tack cloth the floor. Once it is clean put your final coat of oil based polyurethane on it. Let dry for 72 hours before any heavy walking, furniture, etc. is put on the floor. Will clear polyurethane remove, drip or blur fluorescent paint?
Hm... I don't think it's the best thing to use. Polyurethane won't remove or blur the paint. There is a polyurethane specially made for floors that may be a little more durable, but I suggest using either that or paint instead; like maybe an oil/alkyd based paint, or that water-based porch and floor paint that you can find at the Home Depot. The oil/alkyd paint is much thicker so you won't have a problem with splinters. The porch and floor paint is the best way to go; it will cover up the fluorescent paint (not sure if you want to keep that color or not), but it's the most durable for floors. But if you wan't to keep that fluorescent paint, I guess the second best thing to do would be to use that clear floor polyurethane.
Try it on a small sample piece.

I just was painting my garage and paint dripped into my eye.?
I flushed it with water of at least 15 minutes. Do I need medical attention? My eyes are sore, but I can see.I just was painting my garage and paint dripped into my eye.?
I think you might be okay for now. If it gets worse or doesn't get better in 24 hours, then you probably should see a doctor.I just was painting my garage and paint dripped into my eye.?
Some paint has chemicals in it so you better go get medical attention because some paints has fumes in it.
on the paint can it says what to do if the paint gets into your eye(s). flush out for the time you said and seek a medical professional. this is your eye we are talking about, i wouldn't want to leave it's health in the hands of a bunch of yahoo answerer's, myself included.
Flushing it with water was a great idea but you should still follow up by going to an Urgent Care or ER. Good luck!

My walls have yellow/orange drip marks around our stove and our humidifier, should I suspect lead paint?
You need a maid.My walls have yellow/orange drip marks around our stove and our humidifier, should I suspect lead paint?
I used to live in an apartment that had this issue, and it was because the former tenants were smokers. The best way to solve the problem is to give the walls a good wash (something like TSP), then repaint. You might even want to prime the wall before you repaint. I washed my walls a lot, and still whenever there was high humidity, the walls would get those yellow/orange drip marks. If you/your family are smoke in the house, the problem will only get worse. My walls have yellow/orange drip marks around our stove and our humidifier, should I suspect lead paint?
Lead paint doesn't give you any outward signs. I suspect grease and grime. It sounds like it just needs to be cleaned with a good strong solution that disolves grease. The stuff around the humidifier is most likely just from condensation of the water and when mixed with what's in the air it will make yellowish-looking drip marks. If you smoke in the house, that could also be contributing to the color, but it can happen even in a smoke-free house. Happy cleaning!
If you are going to ask a question give more details so we can answer properly
go to a Paint store and get a lead test kit
well the drip marks by your stove is probably grease. use a degeaser to clean it. it would depend on where your humidifier is to tell what it is. if in doubt then get a lead test kit
Suspect a leak somewhere in either the plumbing, the walls or the roof.
Drips themselves won't give you any indication of lead-based paint. The only way to know for sure is to have it tested at an approved lab. Is it lead? How old is the home (or the paint)? Houses built prior to 1978 stand a good chance of having lead-based paint. This link gives a good explanation.
